Microsoft has revealed the titles they’ll be adding to Xbox Game Pass on PC and consoles in early July, and it’s one of their best lineups in a while. The headliner is Grand Theft Auto V, which was on Game Pass previously, but now makes its grand return. Other major additions include the Day 1 release of Capcom’s multiplayer dino shooter Exoprimal and the well-liked hardcore shooter Insurgency: Sandstorm.
Here are your headliner Game Pass titles for the next couple of weeks:
Grand Theft Auto V (Cloud and Console) – Available Today
When a young street hustler, a retired bank robber, and a terrifying psychopath find themselves entangled with some of the most frightening and deranged elements of the criminal underworld, the U.S. government, and the entertainment industry, they must pull off a series of dangerous heists to survive in a ruthless city in which they can trust nobody — least of all each other. Includes both the Xbox One and the Xbox Series X|S versions of Grand Theft Auto V.
Exoprimal (Cloud, Console, and PC) – July 14
From Wccftech’s July games guide -- While fans still wait and hope for a potential Dino Crisis revival, Capcom is instead giving us Exoprimal, a co-op shooter that pits players against hordes of dinosaurs. Hundreds of raptors! Huge mutant t. rexes! I’m not sure if this is going to be the next big live-service success, but I applaud Capcom for swinging for the fences with something new and weird.
These games will also be available in early July:
Sword and Fairy: Together Forever (Cloud, Console, and PC) – Available NowMcPixel 3 (Cloud, Console, and PC) – July 6Common’hood (Cloud, Console, and PC) – July 11Insurgency: Sandstorm (PC) – July 11Techtonica (Game Preview) (Cloud, Console, and PC) – July 18The Cave (Cloud and Console) – July 18Xbox Game Pass grants players access to more than 100 games for 10 bucks a month, while Xbox Game Pass Ultimate also gets you Xbox Live Gold and EA Play access — you can check out a full list of available console and PC games here. A pretty good lineup! While most will be playing GTAV and Exoprimal, don’t overlook The Cave – it’s an excellent little co-op platformer by the creator of Monkey Island.
