Now Playing: Xbox 20th Anniversary Celebration Livestream
The broadcast will air on the official Xbox channels on YouTube, Twitch, and Facebook, and you'll be able to watch the event right here on GameSpot. Subtitles will be available in many different languages. Additionally, the broadcast will be available with American Sign Language (ASL) and Audio Descriptions (AD) in English on the Xbox YouTube channel.
What's more, Xbox Live Gold and Game Pass Ultimate membership badges, which are displayed on Xbox profile pages, are getting updated for the 20th anniversary. "The old badges which showcase how long you have been a member of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate or Xbox Live Gold will be replaced with a colorful new badge," Microsoft said. These badges, samples of which you can see below, will start to arrive beginning next week after of the event.
The new Xbox anniversary badgesAdditionally, Microsoft is releasing a special-edition Xbox controller and headset themed around 20 years of Xbox, while there is a new Halo-branded Xbox Series X console on the way.
Outside of the anniversary, Microsoft has a new piece of hardware coming this year--a mini-fridge. The Xbox mini-fridge, which plays off the joke that the Series X looks like a refrigerator, launches this year for $100. Preorders opened on October 19. At least one of our writers ordered one.
