WWE is in a transitional phase, switching things up, as it was seen at this year's Extreme Rules PPV. This wasn't just another run-of-the-mill show for the sports entertainment company. There were some surprise title changes, and a surprise appearance by Brock Lesnar. All-in-all, Extreme Rules actually ended up being a pretty exciting show.
Among the 12 "extreme" bouts features on tonight's show were a No Holds Barred match pitting Shane McMahon and Drew McIntyre against Roman Reigns and a returning Undertaker. Elsewhere on the card, there was a last man standing match, an Extreme Rules mixed tag team match--with the WWE Universal Championship and Raw Women's Championship on the line--and a handicap match that saw Bayley defending her Smackdown Women's Championship against Alexa Bliss and Nikki Cross.
