World of Warcraft: Dragonflight's next major update is around the corner, and Blizzard is sharing more information on all the new activities players can expect, including details on the new Zskera Vault system.
Patch 10.7 will allow max-level players to explore the Dracthyr starting zone of the Forbidden Reach, offering new story quests that will explore the origins of the game's newest playable race. Hidden within the Forbidden Reach is the Zskera Vault, where, once a week players will be able to enter a "randomized treasure room" filled with "puzzles, monsters, and mysteries," in order to score some valuable loot, according to a Blizzard blog post.

To access the vault and its treasures, plates will need to explore the Forbidden Reach to acquire keys, although six keys will be provided to players via an introductory quest. The keys are bind-on-account, so they can be used by any character on an account.
A key part of the Zskera Vault is the new Onyx Annulet, a ring that players will acquire when venturing into the vault that can hold powerful Primordial Stones. These stones can be found while exploring the treasure rooms of the vault, and combining different stones will produce potent and unique effects in combat that players will want to seek out.
Though new story content and the Zskera Vault are the headliners when it comes to the Forbidden Reach, there are a few smaller new additions coming as well. Six new dragonriding races are being added alongside the Forbidden Reach, as well as a new pet battlemaster. A new world event, Mega-Storms, will reward upgraded gear, and currency earned from the storm can also be exchanged for new weapons and armor. Players will additionally be able to select a faction envoy come the update, which will grant a 10% increased reputation gain for the selected faction. Envoy's will offer additional opportunities to earn reputation with their faction, as well as new rewards like extra dragonriding customizations and a new mount.
Despite Blizzard releasing more details on what players can expect to be doing in patch 10.0.7, there is still no official release date for the update. When it does arrive, it will bring more than just the Forbidden Reach. Orc and human heritage armor will finally come to Blizzard's MMO with 10.7, as will a major rework of the Retribution paladin specialization.
Blizzard has committed to delivering more frequent content updates to WoW over the course of 2023, with WoW executive producer Holly Longdale stating that the goal is for there to "always be something right around the corner, with a new update hitting our test realms shortly after the last one is live and in your hands." Blizzard so far seems to be living up to that promise, with the game's previous update having arrived in early February and introducing the new Trading Post system.
