Level designer Jeremy "Lich" Wagner has begun work on a Quake II total conversion based on The Wizard of Oz.

　　In this version of the story, which takes place immediately after the Wicked Witch has melted, a horde of munchkins gone bad ambush Dorothy and her cohorts and leave them... less than healthy. In fact, Toto is the only one who survives their attack.

　　It's up to a pair of computer game-playing teenagers named Jeremy and Ken to travel to Oz and save the day. Is it coincidence that that Jeremy and Ken are the names of this TC's leads? Probably not. (Wagner is the project's main level designer, while Ken "SnuggleCakes" Bolton is its concept artist.)

　　Wagner and Bolton are designing the game as a two-player enterprise, but in the instance that gamers opt for the single-player mode, the two are planning what they're calling a "computer-controlled ally," a bot that fights alongside the player-character.

　　Wagner is looking for some help on the project - he has put out a call on the Wizard of Oz TC web site for aspiring programmers, level designers, or 3D modelers who would be interested in lending him a hand.
