The expansion was designed for level 30-plus characters, but it's available to everyone. It also sees the return of Shani, the medic character from the original Witcher.
For lots more on Hearts of Stone, check out GameSpot's video review above and written review here. GameSpot editor Mike Mahardy scored the game a 9/10. Below is an excerpt from his review.
"Hearts of Stone feels just as much a part of the narrative as any of the main game's quest lines, but stands on its own as a memorable adventure," he wrote. "It may have its negative moments and the pacing may be broken at certain intervals, but The Witcher 3's first paid expansion is well worth the return to the Northern Kingdoms.
The Witcher 3's next paid expansion, Blood and Wine, is set to arrive in the first half of 2016. Overall, The Witcher 3 has sold more than 6 million copies.
