Wild Hearts Upcoming PC Patch Will Address CPU Bottleneck Issues; DLSS And FSR Support Are Being Worked On-September 2024

Omega Force is currently working on fixing the PC version of their hunting game Wild Hearts, and a new patch releasing next week will address issues that will improve performance across mid-high end CPUs and more.

With a new post on the game's official subreddit, game developer wolf_hands confirmed next week's update will address CPU bottleneck issues that will improve performance across systems with mid to high end CPUs. Additionally, the team is working on adding NVIDIA DLSS and AMD FSR support, which will further improve performance on the vast majority of configurations.

Omega Force are working continuously to improve performance and optimise the game for a wide variety of hardware specs across future updates. We have a patch coming next week that addresses a CPU bottleneck problem the team discovered; this should improve performance across mid-high end CPU’s. The team are also actively working on DLSS and FSR support which will arrive in a future patch.

Omega Force isn't neglecting the console versions of Wild Hearts either, as the team is working on improving performance on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S as well, As the team is unable to push patches out on consoles as quickly as it can on PC, however, wolf_hands couldn't share more on the improvements coming to PS5 and Xbox Series X|S.

Correct, this is focused on PC as we’re able to get those patches out the door the quickest. The team is working to improve performance on all platforms though.

It's good news that Omega Force is improving Wild Hearts' on all platforms, as the very uneven performance really damages an experience that is almost on par with that offered by the Monster Hunter series, as I highlighted in my review-in-progress.

After over 30 hours and many hunts under my belt, Wild Hearts is proving to be an incredibly engaging experience, one with the potential to be a real rival for the Monster Hunter series. If everything holds together well until the end of the main campaign, I can see Wild Hearts to be an excellent way to tide oneself over until the next entry in the CAPCOM series releases.

Wild Hearts launches on PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X, and Xbox Series S on February 16th worldwide. EA Play subscribers can try out the game thanks to a 10-hour long trial right now on all formats.
