Update: Xur has left the solar system for the weekend of Sept. 3-7. Here's where to find Xur and what Exotics he's selling for the weekend of September 10.

　　The fun of Radiant Dance Machines might be over for now in Destiny 2 (at least in the Crucible and Gambit), but that doesn't mean there aren't more great Exotics for you to mess around with in the Season of the Lost. Xur is back with a new inventory of Exotics for you to fill out your collection and give yourself an edge throughout the solar system.

　　Head to Nessus, to the Watcher's Grave area, to find Xur this week. For his weapon, Xur is offering Hard Light. Hunters can pick up the Graviton Forfeit helmet; for Titans, there's the Peregrine Grieves leg armor; and for Warlocks, Xur has the Contraverse Hold gauntlets.

　　Xur is also offering a new slate of Legendary weapons and armor this week, including the Gambit-exclusive Trinary System fusion rifle with a pretty solid PvP build, and the Crucible-exclusive Wing armor set. Once again, Hunters have a couple of really good options for Legendary armor with high Intellect stats, while Warlocks can pick up a solid high-mobility helmet, if you're looking to goose your armor builds.

　　

Xur Location

Look for a big pink tree at the north end of Watcher's Grave. You'll have to climb it to reach Xur.To get to Xur, spawn in at Watcher's Grave and hop on your sparrow, heading north. Xur is in the big pink tree at the north end of the area. Park at its base and you can find a path to climb up onto the big branch that reaches out over the area, where Xur is waiting.

　　Xur returns to the solar system every weekend in Destiny 2, starting with the daily reset at 10 AM PT / 1 PM ET each Friday. The thing is, where he'll land isn't known until he actually arrives. Xur can hang out at one of several locations, including in the Tower Hangar area, on Nessus in Watcher's Grave, and in the Winding Cove area of the EDZ. Xur's inventory also changes each week, so it's worth revisiting him on the weekends for new weapons and rolls on Exotic and Legendary armor. You can visit him any time between his arrival Friday and the weekly reset at 10 AM PT / 1 PM ET the following Tuesday when Xur departs the solar system.

　　

Xur Exotic Items

Xur is offering Hard Light this week, and while it's not the powerhouse it was in past seasons, the auto rifle is still a contender in the Crucible. It fires fast with high stability, and it seems that auto rifles are solid choices in the Crucible again this season, making this a great weapon if you need something reliable. Apart from that, Xur once again has a high-stat Graviton Forfeit helmet for Hunters. This one favors Intellect and Resilience stats, if last week's roll wasn't to your liking. If you're not a fan of his other options, Xur also sells an Exotic engram that will decrypt into an Exotic you don't already own. Just note that you can only buy one per week, and the engram is specific to the character class who buys it--so if you're trying to get a new Titan helmet, don't buy the engram with your Warlock. He also has the new Xenology Quest, which rewards an Exotic Cipher you can use to purchase Exotics from either Xur or the Tower's Monument to Lost Lights. The quest requires you to either complete Strikes or win matches in Gambit and the Crucible.

The inventory is random, as are the stat rolls you can expect on each of his armor offerings, so if you're looking to fill out your collection or if you're hoping for better versions of Exotics you already have, it's worth visiting him. Xur also brings an Exotic Engram, which is guaranteed to drop something you don't already have, if there are Exotics missing from your collection on that particular character--but that doesn't include Exotics you have to earn through activities, including the new Exotic armors added each season, which can only be claimed from Legendary or Master Lost Sectors.

Hard Light (Auto Rifle)

Hard Light is a solid auto rifle that can do work at decent ranges and fires extremely straight, and its ricochet rounds mean you can catch enemies even around corners.Hard Light is still a favorite auto rifle in Destiny 2, even after some relatively recent nerfs reduced its PvP effectiveness. The highly stable auto rifle fires quickly and has a big magazine, allowing you to dump a ton of ammo on a target in a hurry. What's more, it gains additional damage when you ricochet its rounds off surfaces, allowing you to chase enemies who duck around corners with your shots and often snag kills on people who think they're safe. This is a reliable workhorse auto rifle in any activity.

　　

Graviton Forfeit (Hunter)

Go invisible Once again, Xur is offering Graviton Forfeit, which is great for Void-loving Hunters. The Exotic boosts the duration of your invisibility effects, allowing you to more easily lose opponents and sneak out of trouble--or set ambushes. You also get faster ability regeneration while invisible, so with a high Mobility build and triggering invisibility off of dodges, you can pull a lot of benefits from this Exotic. Xur's offering is again a pretty solid one, with a high total stat roll and high Intellect. Its numbers in Resilience might be a little high for Hunter builds, but this is a good option if your current Graviton is lacking.

Peregrine Grieves (Titan)

Smash enemies harder with your shoulder charge melee abilities with Peregrine Grieves.If you're a Titan who loves smashing through stuff, Peregrine Grieves can be a highly effective Exotic for your playstyle. The boots give your shoulder charge melee abilities additional damage, provided you activate them in the air. Strength-heavy builds can benefit from these whether in the Crucible or in PvE--just make sure to jump before you slam into something to get the full effect.

Contraverse Hold (Warlock)

Make yourself tougher to kill when charging your Void grenade abilities with Contraverse Hold, which remains useful for Handheld Supernova fans.There was a time when Void Warlocks' Handheld Supernova was the bane of the Crucible, and Contraverse Holds helped. The Exotic reduces the damage you take when you're using a charged grenade ability. While Contraverse isn't as effective as it once was--and neither is Handheld Supernova--this is still a good combination for players favoring Warlocks' interesting grenade abilities. Nail someone with your charged grenade abilities, and you get a random amount of grenade energy back, so work this into your high Discipline builds and go to town with grenades.
