Now Playing: Destiny 2 Where is Xur March 11, 2022
Xur continues his recent, buggy trend of bringing less-than-useful Exotic and Legendary armor to the solar system. For that reason, unless you're filling out your Exotics collection, you're probably going to want to skip his armor selection. Both the Graviton Forfeit and Synthoceps he offers are at total stat levels of 48--the same you'd get if you pulled them from Collections--while the Aeon Soul is slightly better but still underperforming at 51.
In the Legendary weapons department, Xur has one god roll standout: the Main Ingredient fusion rifle. It's a great one for PvP thanks to its ridiculous stability, with Firmly Planted and Tap the Trigger, along with a Stability Masterwork. This is an extremely easy-to-use fusion rifle for killing enemies in one shot at long ranges, so snag it while you can. Otherwise, you might want to pick up The Swarm machine gun. That's a weapon usually only available from Nightfall Strikes, and carries Killing Wind and One For All with a Reload Masterwork. He also has a decent Wishbringer shotgun for PvP, which includes Auto-Loading Holster and Slideshot with a Range Masterwork, if that sounds like it fits your playstyle. The other weapons are middling, but the Shattered Cipher machine gun with Auto-Loading Holster and Unrelenting with a Stability Masterwork at least gives you the opportunity to snag a Season of the Splicer weapon if you missed it last year.
The Hawkmoon Xur offers this week carries Eye of the Storm and Alloy Magazine, which is a solid PvP roll with a perk that gets overlooked quite a bit. Given how expensive Hawkmoon is, though, be very sure you wouldn't rather have a Rangefinder or Opening Shot version instead. This week's Dead Man's Tale sports Fourth Time's the Charm and Armor Piercing Rounds, which will serve you well in a PvE capacity but will be hard to really take advantage of against Crucible players.
For Legendary armor, Xur is packing the Ancient Apocalypse set from the Season of Arrivals. Again, though, if you aren't grabbing this armor for the fashion, feel free to skip it, as all the pieces' stats come in at a total of 48.

Xur Location
Look for Xur at the top of the cliff at the north end of Winding Cove.Transmat into the Winding Cove area in the EDZ and make your way north on your sparrow. Head up the overpass on the left side of the map and then look for a cave in the wall near where the road bends. That'll take you up to the crash site of a Fallen dropship, where you'll find Xur waiting.
Xur is present every weekend in Destiny 2, starting with the daily reset at 9 AM PT / 12 PM ET each Friday--although this will change to 10 AM PT / 1 PM ET on March 13 with the start of Daylight Saving Time in the US. His exact location is always a mystery when he first arrives, as he is not listed on the map, and for novice players, he can be easy to miss. However, there are a set number of locations where he takes up residence, including the Tower Hangar area, on Nessus in Watcher's Grave, and in the Winding Cove area of the EDZ.
Xur Exotic and Legendary Items
This weekend, you get Fighting Lion from Xur, a breech-loading grenade launcher that enjoys infinite ammo thanks to Bungie's recent tweaks to Kinetic ammo economy. This is a great gun to learn how to handle breech-loaders on, opening up a whole class of weapons that can be extremely deadly in both PvE and PvP situations. If you're not a fan of his other options, Xur also sells an Exotic engram that will decrypt into an Exotic you don't already own from the world drop pool. Just note that you can only buy one per week, and the engram is specific to the character class who buys it--so if you're trying to get a new Titan helmet, don't buy the engram with your Warlock. He also has the new Xenology Quest, which rewards an Exotic Cipher you can use to purchase Exotics from either Xur or the Tower's Monument to Lost Lights. The quest requires you to either complete Strikes or win matches in Gambit and the Crucible.

Fighting Lion (Grenade Launcher)
Bouncing grenades around corners and nailing enemies in the chest with them is incredibly satisfying with Fighting Lion.Breech-loading grenade launchers are among the most fun guns in Destiny 2, and Fighting Lion is one of the most-fun breech-loaders. The gun allows you to fire and remotely detonate your grenades after bouncing them off surfaces, allowing you to hit angles that enemies, particularly other players, often don't expect. Fighting Lion benefits from infinite Kinetic ammo and does increased damage to shields. The more damage you do to enemies, the faster it reloads, and if you can manage rapid kills with it, the gun reloads automatically, allowing you to dish out all sorts of explosive death.
Graviton Forfeit (Hunter)
Enhance all your spiffy new Void 3.0 invisibility effects with Graviton Forfeit.Graviton Forfeit is great for the new Void 3.0 rollout for Hunters. The Exotic makes all your invisibility effects better, increasing how long they last and giving you benefits whenever you vanish. Your Recovery is increased significantly, so you heal faster, while also reloading and charging your melee ability more quickly. Graviton's a great Exotic for Hunters relying on invisibility, but unfortunately, this is an extremely weak stat roll.

Synthoceps (Titan)
Smash enemies from further away and gain a more powerful melee when surrounded using Synthoceps.Synthoceps are a great go-to Exotic for Titans who love to punch things. The Exotic extends your melee's lunge range, making it handy for those fast melee kills in the Crucible. When you're surrounded, your melee does more damage, as does your Super, as well. Again, just note that this is a bad stat roll, but otherwise, a good Exotic for a lot of Titan builds.

Aeon Soul (Warlock)
Aeon Soul is best used with a fireteam of other Aeon users, so you can maximize the inherent perks. The Aeon Exotics help your fireteam synergize. Aeon Soul can equip one of three different mods that give benefits to you as well as the rest of your fireteam, and the more Aeon Exotics your team is running with different mods, the more benefits they dish out. The idea is to specialize; one Aeon mod gives your team ammo when you do finishers, another provides ability energy to your team when you stun Champions, and the third heals your team when you cast your Super. Teams who pay attention to the Aeon Exotics' capabilities can get some real use out of them, provided they're willing to work together for maximum benefit.
