Where Is Xur Today? (Aug. 20-24) - Destiny 2 Xur Location And Exotics Guide-November 2024
Xur has departed for the last time in the Season of the Splicer. Here's what Exotics Xur is offering and where to find him for the weekend of August 26.
We're in the final weekend of Destiny 2's Season of the Splicer, and that makes this the final visit of Xur before Season 15 kicks off. With a whole bunch of weapon changes coming next week, this is a great chance to visit Xur for new Exotic weapons and armor.
Head to the Tower, to the Hangar area, to find Xur this week. For his weapon, Xur is offering Trinity Ghoul. Hunters can pick up the Raiden Flux chest armor; for Titans, there's the One-Eyed Mask helmet; and for Warlocks, Xur has the Sanguine Alchemy chest armor.
Xur Location
You'll find Xur near the edge of the Hangar in the Tower, with the wind whipping his face tentacles. You'll find Xur in a relaxing spot in the Tower. Spawn in at the central transmat point and hang a left to head down the stairs into the Hangar area. When you reach it, turn left and head to the north side of the space, where you'll find a staircase up onto a catwalk near the edge of the building. Xur is waiting for you there.
Xur returns to the solar system every weekend in Destiny 2, starting with the daily reset at 10 AM PT / 1 PM ET each Friday. The thing is, where he'll land isn't known until he actually arrives. Xur can hang out at one of several locations, including in the Tower Hangar area, on Nessus in Watcher's Grave, and in the Winding Cove area of the EDZ. Xur's inventory also changes each week, so it's worth revisiting him on the weekends for new weapons and rolls on Exotic armor. You can visit him any time between his arrival Friday and the weekly reset at 10 AM PT / 1 PM ET the following Tuesday when Xur departs the solar system.
Xur Exotic Items
Your Exotic gun from Xur this week is Trinity Ghoul, which has turned out to be one of the coolest bows in the game. It fires arrows that can chain lightning between enemies, and especially with its Exotic catalyst, it's highly effective at zapping a ton of enemies quickly. Xur is also packing the Graviton Forfeit helmet for Hunters with a roll that should get your attention--it's pretty high, stats-wise, for a Xur item. If you're not a fan of his other options, Xur also sells an Exotic engram that will decrypt into an Exotic you don't already own. Just note that you can only buy one per week, and the engram is specific to the character class who buys it--so if you're trying to get a new Titan helmet, don't buy the engram with your Warlock. He also has the new Xenology Quest, which rewards an Exotic Cipher you can use to purchase Exotics from either Xur or the Tower's Monument to Lost Lights. The quest requires you to either complete Strikes or win matches in Gambit and the Crucible.
Exotic Engram -- 97 legendary shardsTrinity Ghoul -- 29 legendary shardsRaiden Flux -- 23 legendary shardsOne-Eyed Mask -- 23 legendary shardsSanguine Alchemy -- 23 legendary shardsXenology quest -- freeEach week, Xur offers one Exotic weapon and three pieces of Exotic armor: one for each character class. The inventory is random, as are the stat rolls you can expect on each of his armor offerings, so if you're looking to fill out your collection or if you're hoping for better versions of Exotics you already have, it's worth visiting him. Xur also brings an Exotic Engram, which is guaranteed to drop something you don't already have, if there are Exotics missing from your collection on that particular character--but that doesn't include Exotics you have to earn through activities, including the new Exotic armors added each season, which can only be claimed from Legendary or Master Lost Sectors.

Trinity Ghoul (Combat Bow)
Trinity Ghoul can be awesome, especially with its Exotic catalyst that increases how often you'll send lightning chaining through enemies.Trinity Ghoul was only a so-so Exotic before the release of its Exotic catalyst, but if you can find that, you can turn it into a high-quality weapon that's great for clearing lots of enemies at once. The bow fires a spread of three arrows in a single shot, but can be made to bring them together for a more powerful, precise shot if you aim down its sights. Killing an enemy with a precision shot creates chain lightning to nearby opponents, which can be devastating. With the catalyst installed, any kill creates chain lightning, which can make Trinity Ghoul extremely useful. Look for the catalyst to drop in Strikes, Crucible matches, or Gambit matches--you're definitely going to want it.
Raiden Flux (Hunter)
Amp up your Arc Staff Super with Raiden Flux, and nab a pretty decent stat roll while you're at it.The Arc Staff Super is a great option for Hunters looking to clear out a lot of enemies quickly, or to chase around opponents in the Crucible. Raiden Flux makes it even more useful--the more quick attacks you make with the Super against enemies, the more damage each hit does, and the longer the Super lasts. That makes this a great choice for crowd control in particular. Xur's stat roll for Raiden Flux is also a bit abnormally high, so this is a good one to pick up.

One-Eyed Mask (Titan)
One-Eyed Mask isn't quite as good as it used to be, but it's still a solid choice for Titans in the Crucible. For a while, One-Eyed Mask dominated the Crucible among Titans. While the helmet saw a bit of a nerf, it can still be a great go-to Exotic if your build doesn't require something different. It highlights any enemies who damage you, allowing you to try to find and finish them off. If you do, you're awarded an overshield, which can be great when fighting one enemy and then quickly trying to pivot to a second follow-up battle.

Sanguine Alchemy (Warlock)
If you like playing a rift-focused Warlock, Sanguine Alchemy can seriously boost your rifts' effectiveness. With Sanguine Alchemy, Warlocks make their rifts last longer, which can be hugely beneficial to a team, especially in tough PvE. Landing weapon kills from within the rift extends its duration, and the more kills you get, the longer it lasts--which is great when you need to stand your ground against hordes of enemies.
