There are two weeks left in August, and Netflix chugs along, putting out content multiple days during the week. It may be a lighter week for the streaming subscription service, but there is still new movies and originals for you to check out.
On Tuesday, you can watch the classic 2002 Martin Scorsese movie Gangs of New York. The film takes place in 1862 in New York City and follows Amsterdam Vallon (Leonardo DiCaprio) as he returns to Five Points, seeking revenge on Bill The Butcher, who killed his father. This is the only movie coming out this week.

The rest of this week's releases are originals. The most notable release comes on Wednesday. The original series is called Hyperdrive, and it's American Ninja Warrior meets Fast & the Furious--minus Dwayne Johnson flexing out of casts. An industrial park has been transformed into an out-of-this-world racetrack featuring a tight corridors, objects that need to be hit while the driver is drifting, and an obstacle named "The Leveler," a bridge mixed with a teeter totter. You can check out the trailer for yourself below.
Below, you'll find everything new to Netflix this week. If you're looking to plan September out, check out what Hulu and Amazon Prime Video have coming out in the next month.
