Conway's Game of Life is similar to a grid-based game where each square can exist in either an alive or a dead state. Imagine beginning with a configuration where some squares are alive and others are dead. The game follows a few simple concepts to determine what will happen next.

In this game, when a square is alive and has an extremely limited number of or an excessive number of alive neighbors, it will die in the next round. However, if it has exactly the appropriate number of neighbors, it will remain alive. On the other hand, if a dead square has exactly three alive neighbors, it will come to life. You start with an initial pattern and watch as it evolves over time. Sometimes the pattern remains static, sometimes it repeats, and sometimes it moves around the grid. The entire essence of the game is to witness how these simple rules give rise to interesting and frequently astonishing patterns as the game progresses.

1. Underpopulation: Any live cell that has fewer than two live neighbors will die.

2. Survival: Any live cell with two or three live neighbors will continue to the next generation.

3. Overpopulation: Any live cell with more than three live neighbors will die.

4. Reproduction: Any dead cell with exactly three live neighbors will become a live cell.
