Alquerque is a classic tile-based board game that is specifically designed for two players. The main goal of the game is to completely eliminate all of your opponent's tokens. Just like chess or checkers, this game requires you to outwit your opponent by anticipating their moves. You have the choice to play against the CPU or engage in a game with another human player.

At the beginning of the game, each player is given 12 identical tokens which are placed on a 5x5 board. The only empty space is in the middle, and the white tokens start the game. The objective is to move your tokens one square at a time in such a way that you can eliminate your opponent's tokens. This is achieved by jumping over the space occupied by the opponent's token. If you succeed in eliminating a token, and the opportunity arises, you can use the same token to eliminate another one during the same turn. This unique aspect means that it is possible to win a game in a single turn, but it requires a strategic placement of your entire "army" of tokens from the very beginning.
