It is commonly played by 2 to 4 players, each with their own unique set of aeroplane pieces. The gameplay involves rolling a standard six-sided die to determine how many spaces you can move your aeroplane pieces. Players take turns and wisely decide which piece to move according to the die roll result. You can start a piece's journey from your home base or move an already moving piece along the circular path.

Aeroplane Chess has several interesting elements such as flying, bumping, and taking shortcuts, adding depth and excitement to the game.
