For all the trailers, posters and merchandise that have been released for the new Star Wars movie in the past few months, details of the film's actual storyline have been relatively light. Director JJ Abrams is famous for his desire to keep a close lid on the details of his movies, and The Force Awakens has been no exception. However, in a new video recorded for Vanity Fair, Abrams does open up for some probing questions from celebrity interviewers, including Jared Leto, Lena Dunham, and some guy called George Lucas. Check it out below:
Abrams was interviewed recently by the Associated Press, who attempted to get some information out of the director, specifically why Luke Skywalker was missing from all the trailers and artwork released so far. His reply was simply that it was "no accident" that we hadn't seen Luke yet, and that he couldn't "wait for [us] to find out the answer."
Also this week, self-confessed geek culture fan Stephen Colbert dedicated a monologue on Wednesday's Late Show to The Force Awakens, and specifically the new trailer. After praising the clip, he then proceeded to make his own predictions to the plot for the upcoming film. Watch it here.
All will be revealed when Star Wars: The Force Awakens opens on December 18, 2015. The film stars John Boyega, Daisy Ridley, Adam Driver, Oscar Isaac, Max von Sydow, Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher, and Mark Hamill.
