It's the final countdown to the release of Star Wars: The Force Awakens, and the last marketing push is underway. The latest clip is a behind-the-scenes featurette entitled Legacy, that was screened at Comic Con Brazil, and has now been put online by Disney. Check it out here:
As reported by Entertainment Weekly, the principal cast and crew of The Force Awakens held a press conference this weekend, and cleared up a few key questions. First, director JJ Abrams confirmed that there would be no extra scene after the end credits, something that his Disney stablemates at Marvel have made a feature of in their movies.
Secondly, an even more pressing question was given a definitive answer by Lucasfilm president Kathleen Kennedy. "Jar Jar is definitely not in the movie," she told the assembled media, to much cheering.
Harrison Ford spoke about returning to the Star Wars series after more than 30 years. "It's fun to play with these toys again," he said. "It feels familiar. It is good to be home, just like Han said in the trailer. I am aware of the value that is placed on these films by the audience, and I am grateful that there is still an audience for the original films."
Star Wars: The Force Awakens opens on December 18, 2015. It stars John Boyega, Daisy Ridley, Adam Driver, Oscar Isaac, Carrie Fisher, and Mark Hamill.
