Watch Dogs 2 allegedly is set in San Francisco, and might well release later this year.

　　Sources from website Kotaku report that Watch Dogs 2 will possibly substitute this year’s Assassin’s Creed game. As posted yesterday, Ubisoft’s next Assassin’s Creed will probably skip 2016, and will be released at some point in 2017.

　　The existence of Watch Dogs 2 was accidently leaked last year, when the title was listed on the game’s senior gameplay programmer’s LinkedIn page.

Watch Dogs 2 to make 'radical' changes

　　"There are flaws, obviously. We absolutely want to tackle these flaws and surprise players, and the way to tackle some of those flaws is going to be quite radical. There are parts of the game that will need to change”, Raynoud told CVG regarding Watch Dogs, and a possible sequel.

　　"This is quite a high ambition and will require us to develop technologies that we didn't have for Watch Dogs 1, but this combined with fixing and refining what worked well is probably the way to go for Watch Dogs 2”

　　The original Watch Dogs was announced during the E3 of 2012. Back then, Ubisoft announced their new open-world action-adventure as a “new, ground-breaking intellectual property”.

　　“Watch Dogs goes beyond the limits of today’s open-world games by giving players the ability to control an entire city,” said Jonathan Morin, creative director, Ubisoft.  “In Watch Dogs, anything connected to the city’s Central Operating System becomes a weapon.  By pushing the boundaries, we can provide players with action and access to information on a scale that’s never been seen in a video game before.”

　　As said, Watch Dogs had it fair share of flaws, and we can only hope that Ubisoft delivers with Watch Dogs 2.
