The first trailer for Five Nights at Freddy's 4: The Final Chapter has been released--and it's every bit as creepy and frightening as you would imagine.
Whereas previous Five Nights at Freddy's games were set in a fictional pizza parlor, the new game brings the horror home. Besides the change in setting, it looks like The Final Chapter will keep the franchise's formula intact. Take a look at the trailer below for a closer look at how the game is shaping up.

The Final Chapter, which sounds like the last game in the series given its name, launches in August. Cawthon previously planned to launch the game on Halloween, but recently decided to move its release date up two months. That said, Cawthon is planning some special surprises for October 31.
Five Nights at Freddy 4 will be the fourth in the series to launch in the span of a year.
Five Nights at Freddy's 3 is the most recent entry in the series and was released in March this year. The original Five Nights at Freddy's was well-received in GameSpot's review, praised for its dark humor, ability to invoke "heart-pounding terror," and story delivery.
A film adaptation of the game is also in the works with Roy Lee (The Departed, The LEGO Movie) and Seth Grahame-Smith and David Katzenberg of KatzSmith Productions (the upcoming Beetlejuice sequel) signed on as producers.
