Sierra Studios has sent us five screenshots from its recently announced medieval real-time strategy game, Warrior Kings. In these images, you can see that the game's fully 3D engine allows for large-scale army formations. Unlike the units in EA's recent strategy game Shogun, Warrior King's units are fully polygonal and can be moved individually or bound in persistent groups. Though all players start out similarly, each can develop along three separate branches: technological, holy, or evil. Units from the three sides are depicted in the screenshots above, including the evil undead and demon units, the technological catapults and cannons, and the holy Templar knights.
Black Cactus, the game's British developer, plans to finish Warrior Kings next spring. You can read more about the game in our first impressions report from ECTS.
