Warrior Kings delayed
Warrior Kings delayed-November 2024
Nov 16, 2024 3:38 AM

Game publisher Microids has announced that its upcoming 3D real-time strategy game Warrior Kings has been delayed until March 2002. The company agreed to publish the game shortly after Sierra cut funding for it in June due to concerns that it had fallen behind schedule.

Warrior Kings, which is in development at London-based Black Cactus, is set in a medieval fantasy world. In the single-player campaign, players must unite the land under a single ruler, though they can choose to follow the path of good, evil, or neutrality in order to complete their objective. In addition to the campaign, the game will feature several scenario missions and multiplayer support for up to eight players.

"This delay demonstrates Microids' and Black Cactus' commitment toward releasing a high-quality game respectful of the majority of the initially planned features," said Marc Robert, general manager of Microids' distribution.

Jamie Thomson, chairman and creative director of Black Cactus, added, "We paid attention to every unimaginable detail and this dedication to excellence is why we will delay the launch of the game."

Warrior Kings is scheduled for release on March 8, 2002. For more information, take a look at our previous coverage of the game.
