How to complete Classified Information in Warhammer 40K: Rogue Trader

You can complete the Warhammer 40K: Rogue Trader Classified Information quest by finding the two data-banks needed for the cogitator in your voidship. The quest itself comes from a couple of Tech-Priest whom you'll interact with early in the game. Select the two Tech-Use dialogue options, and they'll mention long-lost records pertaining to the von Valancius dynasty's old dealings. You'll then need to visit a couple of planets: Janus and Kiava Gamma.

Note that certain steps may require you to learn about Theodora's past. That means you should talk to companions and important NPCs on the voidship to ask them about Theodora.

You'll receive this task from the Tech-Priests aboard your voidship.

Where to find the data-bank on Janus

The Janus data-bank can be found in the von Valancius manor. Once you're inside, check the Rogue Trader's bedroom on the second-floor wing to find a hidden switch. This will open a secret chamber, which used to be Theodora's quarters.

At the back of the room, you'll find a sofa. Sit on it and you'll be presented with several choices. The goal is to choose the correct responses based on the clues that you'll read:

Have a glass of wine - Pour a glass of "Flame of Purity."Read a book - Choose "Litanies of the Motive Force."Change the music - Choose "The Symphony of Honor and Duty."Selecting the correct items nets you the Data-Bank with von Valancius Coat of Arms quest item. You're halfway to solving the mystery of the Classified Information in Warhammer 40K: Rogue Trader.

Choose the correct items to receive the data-bank.

Where to find the data-bank on Kiava Gamma

Next, you'll have to travel to Kiava Gamma, which is in a star system to the west of the Koronus Expanse map. Kiava Gamma itself is a large dungeon that's crawling with enemies. There's also a companion quest involving Heinrix, which we won't discuss here. We do advise you to complete it before leaving the dungeon.

Prepare to spend at least a couple of hours exploring this dungeon. You do need to reach a secret room in the eastern portion. In any case, your goal is to reach the eastern portion of the dungeon (as seen on the map above). Prior to getting there, you'll come across metal carts and rails, one of which as a valve quest item that you need to pick up. Here are the next steps:

Interact with the computer and select: Bring your electoo to the scanner. After the cutscene, place the valve inside the slot on the wall. The wall will move to reveal a hidden room with another terminal. It will let you disable the gas supply and traps.More importantly, you can choose to request Theodora's data. You'll then receive your second Data-Bank with von Valancius Coat of Arms.Gallery

Use the valve to cause the wall to reveal a secret room.

Completing Classified Information and learning about Nomos

Now, all that's left is to bring both to the cogitator in your voidship. Hand over the two data-slates to the Tech-Priests, and the machine will start to whir. One word is readable among all the code: Nomos.

We don't want to spoil all the details. However, we can say that a few additional events will occur as you're exploring the galactic map. You'll be presented with numerous choices, and we suggest trying to be nice so you can experience some additional interactions.

As you roam around the galaxy, don't forget to solve other brain teasers, such as the Footfall Dock Puzzle and Footfall Hidden Caches.

There are certainly more discoveries to be made as you continue your journey in the Koronus Expanse, so don't forget to visit our Warhammer 40K: Rogue Trader guides hub.
