Blizzard Entertainment captured two places with one game on NPD's latest weekly list of best-selling PC games, as Warcraft III: Reign of Chaos, Blizzard's long-awaited 3D real-time strategy game, took first place and the game's collector's edition came in second place. The publisher announced prior to the game's launch that it had shipped more than 4.5 million copies of the game worldwide.
Neverwinter Nights, Infogrames' popular Dungeons & Dragons role-playing game, dropped from first place into third, followed by The Sims: Vacation, Electronic Arts' latest virtual-life game expansion. The Sims, EA's phenomenally popular virtual-life game, came in fifth place.
