War of the Worlds is reportedly being made into a TV show. According to The Hollywood Reporter, MTV has hired Teen Wolf creator Jeff Davis to adapt the famous H.G. Wells story for a TV program.
Teen Wolf writer Andrew Cochran is also attached to the project, according to the report. MTV's Teen Wolf is ending with its sixth season in 2017, so the War of the Worlds show would come later.
War of the Worlds is a sci-fi classic. It was first published in 1898 and was most recently adapted for the screen in the 2005 movie starring Tom Cruise in the lead role.
There is no word yet on what the story would be for the TV adaptation, but we'd imagine it would tell a story about humans and aliens--probably with some high stakes. Also unknown is who would star in the show.
