A WandaVision spin-off starring Kathryn Hahn is reportedly now in development at Disney+ from Marvel Studios, according to Variety. Hahn will reprise her role of Agatha Harkness in the series, which is being described as a "dark comedy," though no plot details have yet been revealed or even hinted at.
This news makes sense, as Hahn let it be known earlier this year that she wants to play the character again after the WandaVision series finale aired on Disney+. Back in March, speaking to the New York Times, Hahn was asked about whether another project featuring Agatha is in the works. "I have no idea," she said. "They keep it really tight." However, returning to the role is something Hahn is definitely interested in. "I want to," the actor admitted. "Now that I have a taste of it, I'm like, 'ahh.' I really, really love it."
In WandaVision, Hahn's role begins as the nosy neighbor Agnes, before it is revealed she is in fact Agatha, a powerful witch. In the Marvel comics and also this series, Agatha is shown surviving the Salem Witch Trials and is a formidable opponent for Wanda/Scarlet Witch. When the series wraps, Wanda traps Agatha in Westview and the titular hero uses her powers to force Agatha back into her Agnes persona.
Hahn will also be appearing in Knives Out 2, in a stellar ensemble cast that also includes Dave Bautista, Janelle Monae, and Edward Norton--and, of course, everyone's favorite weekend-heralder and now former James Bond, Daniel Craig.
