VR-1 Releases Online Gaming SDK
VR-1 Releases Online Gaming SDK-January 2024
Jan 11, 2025 6:52 PM

VR-1 today announced the release of a software development kit (SDK) for its Conductor technology suite - the online gaming technology it uses to create games.

The SDK allows developers to create large, online multiplayer games without having to develop the complex code themselves. The Conductor technology contains a set of tools to minimize the effects of latency, set bandwidth limits, monitor client and server CPU and network performance, perform administrative duties, and more.

The VR-1 Conductor SDK also allows users to take advantage of VR-1's Global Game Alliance, a way of providing VR-1 Conductor-based content to its strategic partners around the world, such as Samsung SDS, British Telecom's WirePlay, Sony Communications Network, for example.

"VR-1 Conductor is the enabling technology behind our massively multiplayer games and has been endorsed by network providers around the world for its performance, reliability, and easy integration," said Mark Vange, chief technology officer of VR-1. "We are now making our technology available to the development community so that they can take advantage of the powerful networking and administrative features of VR-1 Conductor."

"Our online gaming providers want to streamline the time, money, and resources required to test and integrate each new online gaming technology before a game can begin generating revenue," said Mike Moniz, president of VR-1. "VR-1 Conductor has already been tested and integrated by our network partners around the world, making our technology one that service providers can trust and integrate smoothly into their networks."
