SXSW 2020 may have been canceled thanks to the COVID-19 (coronavirus) pandemic, but that doesn't mean the shows and movies that would have premiered at the convention are lost forever. Amazon Prime has already picked up this year's movies and now Deadline reports that Vimeo will be providing a home for the TV pilots that would have debuted.
These pilots are coming out of the SXSW Episodic Pilot Competition, which features seven new pilots, five comedies: Bored, This Isn't Me, Cooper's Bar, and The Dream. And two documentaries: Bananas, and Homecoming: The Journey of Cardboard. They are available to be streamed as of today on Vimeo's hub.
The pilots will continue to be available for at least one month. Courtney Horwitz, head of brand and content at Vimeo said "Vimeo is proud to offer creators of all kinds a platform to share their stories, now and always."
