Virgin Interactive announced a number of corporate appointments on Tuesday. Scott Maples, former director of legal affairs at Virgin Interactive, has been named vice president of business affairs. Steve Sardegna, former vice president and controller, has been named vice president of finance.
Additionally, Lee Jacobson has joined the company as the new director of business development, where he will be charged with "aggressively searching for and evaluating new business opportunities in all areas such as game development partnerships, publication, and distribution." He will also handle all submissions of game content sent to Virgin.
Jacobson has served as president of development at DIGIFX Interactive Inc. since 1994. His computer game industry background includes stints as programmer, executive producer, and vice president of production.
