It's been a big day at E3 today, with all eyes focussed on what Sony had to say at their pre-show press conference.  It of course started late, but once it got going there were quite a few interesting nuggets of information to digest - price points, controllers, and of course games.

　　Kaz Hirai of Sony Computer Entertainment America hosted the show, and there were appearances from Phil Harrison and Ken Kutaragi.  A good portion of the games on show will apparently be playable later on in the week when the show gets a-rollin', and there were a whole load of other releases with video footage.

　　Afterwards, myself and Guy put our heads together and attempted to translate the highlights with a UK spin.

　　So now Sony have set out their stall for the next-gen battle, it'll be interesting to see what Nintendo and Microsoft have to say tomorrow.  One of the big issues will be the cost of the PS3, especially for those in Europe.  Unless the UK Pound weakens significantly - which would be bad for lots of other reasons - we'll end up paying over the odds.

　　There are definitely some plus points though - lots of new games to track, lots more to save up for too...
