Stunlock Studios has released a new gameplay trailer for the upcoming content update for V Rising dubbed Secrets of Gloomrot, which will be released on May 17. This new gameplay trailer focuses on the new biome: Gloomrot. The trailer brings some of the secrets of the region to light while also allowing players to see the power of lightning while entering a new age of technology.

　　V Rising - Secrets of Gloomrot is a free expansion for the game in which players explore a new zone with two unique areas twisted in the pursuit of cruel science. Players will be able to explore the polluted valleys and lightning-scorched highlands while facing off against the mutated experiments and mechanical wonders spawned from the twisted imaginations of the Trancendum.

　　Gloomrot will be one of the bigger regions in V Rising, almost the size of Dunley Farmlands. In addition to this new biome, players can also look forward to a long list of improvements and new content. Castle building will be dramatically improved, allowing for multiple floor construction, claiming castle territories, and adding more ways to customize your domain. Combat will be more diverse with new weapon types and a new spell school, as well as letting players modify their spells to their liking with the jewel system.

　　The Secrets of Gloomrot expansion for V Rising will also bring new features to the world of Vardoran. The game will receive 13 additional bosses for players to hunt down and obtain arcane knowledge, new points of interest to visit, visual updates, new items, and 30 enemy types. All part of a world revamp that will bring a refreshing experience to the biomes that players already know.

　　The expansion will also bring with it new weather hazards that will have players succumb to the choking mist of the Cursed Forest or dodge lightning strikes in the hills of Gloomrot. Additionally, V Rising players will also be able to find one-of-a-kind ancient weapons that can be restored to their former glory and enhanced to bring special on-hit effects to expand the combat strategy further.

　　V Rising is currently available on Steam Early Access. The Secret of Gloomrot expansion will be released on May 17.
