The old "bald is beautiful" phrase must be emanating throughout the corporate offices of Eidos Interactive. The company's latest release, Hitman: Blood Money for the Xbox 360 starring the chrome-domed Agent 47, was the top-seller of the week, according to sales figures from online retailer Bestbuy.com.

The creative killing of 47 was enough to top the nostalgic gameplay of New Super Mario Bros. for the DS, which fell down to the number two slot after two weeks at number one. Hitman wasn't content with just number one--the PlayStation 2 version earned its dough at number seven.

Brains ruled over brawn as Brain Age: Train Your Brain in Minutes a Day for the DS landed in third over fourth-place Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter, a flip-flop of positions from last week.

A price drop down to $39.99 was enough to convince holdouts to pick up the PSP version of Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories, even though its PS2 counterpart debuts at $19.99 this week. However, it's unlikely the game's publisher, Take-Two Interactive, will complain one bit, as the portable version of the game was the week's fifth best-seller.

More Xbox 360s in the channel helped three other Xbox 360 games into the top 10, with Madden NFL 360, a November 2005 release, going deep to sixth. Gamers weren't oblivious to The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, which took eighth and 10th, the latter being the $69.99 Collector's Edition.

Rounding out the list was Electronic Arts' 2006 FIFA World Cup for the PS2, no doubt fueled by the tournament it is based on which begins later this week.

Falling off the list this week for the first time was Square Enix's Kingdom Hearts II, which had been a top 10 mainstay since its release in March but landed in 14th this week. Also slipping several spots was Rockstar Games Presents Table Tennis, which fell from seventh to 13th.
