Update November 25: Community Manager has just confirmed that Patch 1.12 will be centred around fixes. Don't expect new features.

Original story: Patch 1.12 for CD Projekt Red’s The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, should be arriving in December. The developer’s community manager Marcin Momot, said this on twitter today.

Momot was asked where patch 1.12 was, after which the community manager replied it should be arriving next month.

Patch 1.11 released last month and introduced a number of changes to gameplay, quests, visuals and DLC content. Main adjustments include a fix to the Skellige's most Wanted quest, fixes to the New Game+ more, and rebalancing the difficulty of bosses in Hearts of Stone. Witcher 3 patch 1.12 contents unknown, but should fix Pickaxe bug

The contents of patch 1.12 are yet unknown, but it should at least fix the Pickaxe bug in the Runesmith quest. A bug that wasn’t fixable in the 1.11 patch.

@legionth @witchergame Unfortunately we haven't been able to fix it yet. Will be addressed in the next patch.

We’ll keep you updated when we learn more about patch 1.12 for the Witcher 3.

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt released back in May of this year, and has received several updates since then. Back in October of this year, developer CD Projekt Red released the game’s first official expansion called ‘Hearts of Stone’.

Step again into the shoes of Geralt of Rivia, a professional monster slayer, this time hired to defeat a ruthless bandit captain, Olgierd von Everec, a man who possesses the power of immortality. The expansion lets you choose your own way through an adventure that includes recruiting a crew of break-in artists, spending a night partying with a ghost and outsmarting the most bizarre creatures Geralt has ever faced.

The game’s next expansion called ‘Blood and Wine’, is scheduled for a release in the first half of 2016, and will feature a 20-hour tale that will introduce the all-new in-game region of Toussaint. The expansion will take Geralt to a land untainted by war, where an atmosphere of carefree indulgence and knightly ritual masks an ancient, bloody secret.
