Greg Cunningham, the lead artist of Firaxis' upcoming dinosaur strategy game, is the author of the latest Dino Diary, which was updated this morning. Cunningham talks a little bit about the process that artists are required to go through while making a computer game, and he follows up with a discussion of a typical workflow schedule at Firaxis.
Cunningham details the creation of the game's T-rex unit, from its inception on paper to its rendering in 3D Studio Max, and all the steps in between. The diary closes with an animated picture of a pack of gallimimus dinosaurs on the run and an animation of the same dinosaur dying.
Asides from the Dino Diaries, Firaxis hasn't released any firm information regarding Sid Meier's latest game - even its name hasn't been decided on. It's unknown whether Electronic Arts will be showing this game at E3, but you can check out its official web site to the right.
