[Update]
It looks like Remedy trolled us all. Apparently, by "new game trailer" they actually mean "cryptic promotional video for recruiting new employees".
By "New Game Trailer" we mean it's old and not really a game trailer, but otherwise the message was 100% true. https://t.co/hPwetAkhQM

[Original Story]
Finnish developer Remedy Games just teased via Twitter a new game announcement trailer "coming soon". Considering that we're less than a week away from Geoff Keighley's The Game Awards, it's a safe bet that the announcement will happen on that occasion.
On December 1st, Geoff Keighley will host The Game Awards 2016 at the Microsoft Theater in downtown Los Angeles, California. Of course, it's also set to air live on several platforms including Twitch, YouTube, Twitter, Facebook, Xbox Live, PlayStation Network, Steam and many other services, including live in VR with Next VR, live in China with Tencent, and highlight in a Snapchat Live Story.

Yesterday, the full list of nominees for the various categories was revealed; you can check it all here. As usual, the event's formula will mix awards with new game reveals such as Bioware's first Mass Effect: Andromeda gameplay trailer.
As to the nature of the new title by Remedy Games, it is still shrouded in mystery. Three months ago, the studio announced to be working on the story mode of CROSSFIRE 2, the sequel of the first person tactical shooter made by Smilegate Entertainment. Given that CROSSFIRE was never popular in Western countries, though, it seems unlikely that the announcement will be about it.
Two months ago, on the other hand, Remedy Games revealed that they are working on a second unannounced project and added that the company would now experiment with cooperative multiplayer elements. It may be that this second project is about to be revealed.
Of course, fans are rooting for them to announce Alan Wake 2 or perhaps Quantum Break 2 but it may be too early for that. After all, Quantum Break only released a few months ago and the bulk of the studio was working on that right until the end, in all likelihood.
We'll learn about it soon enough, anyway.
