Australia-based Auran Games has today announced a licensing deal with Union Pacific Railroad that will see the transportation company's logo and likenesses of Union Pacific locomotives appearing in Trainz Railroad Simulator 2004. The game, which was announced in May, is the sequel to the miniature train simulator Trainz, and it is currently scheduled for release toward the end of this year.
"We're thrilled that Union Pacific, the largest railroad in the US, has entrusted Auran and Trainz Railroad Simulator 2004 with their globally recognized brand identity," said Tony Hilliam, Auran's marketing director. "Our North American fans will be delighted with the mix of both current and historic UP locomotives that we have included and the opportunity to step into the driver's seat and experience life as a Union Pacific train engineer."
