A new Dead Island game has been rated by the Australian government. It's called Dead Island Retro Revenge and includes "bloody violence" and "online interactivity."

Pictured: Dead Island 2The ratings page for Dead Island Retro Revenge outs the game as coming to multiple platforms, though it's not specified which ones (via Destructoid). It's supposedly being developed by Empty Clip Studios, a developer known for music game Symphony, the engine and tech for Monaco: What's Yours Is Mine, and various port jobs.

We've emailed publisher Deep Silver for comment and will update this story as more information becomes available.

Dead Island Retro Revenge isn't on North America's ESRB ratings page. You can check out the Australian Government's page for the unannounced Dead Island game here.

The upcoming Dead Island 2 has suffered a troubled development. It was originally slated for release in 2015 before being delayed into this year. The zombie-killing game lost its developer less than three months later, and we've still not heard which studio would be taking over for it. Dying Light producer Tymon Smektala has said in the past that he would love it if Techland returned to the series and got involved in the development of Dead Island 2. Techland was the developer of the original Dead Island.
