Ultra Street Fighter II, the new version of the classic fighting game by Capcom, has been revealed alongside a few other games two months back, but it was unclear when the game would launch in all regions. Today, the Japanese publisher confirmed that the wait is not going to be long.

　　Ultra Street Fighter II will release in North America and Europe, as well as in Japan, on May 26th for the price of $39.99.

　　Here comes a new challenger! Ultra Street Fighter II: The Final Challengers for the Nintendo Switch is releasing worldwide on 5/26 for $39.99. Features include HD and Classic Graphics Modes, Arcade, Versus and Training Modes, Online and Local Multiplayer, Dynamic Battle Mode, “Way of the Hado” Mode, Color Edit Mode, a 250+ page digital artbook and more!

　　Footage of the game's first person mode, Way of the Hado, emerged online a few weeks ago, showing how the mode will use Ultra Street Fighter IV assets. Alongside this mode, players will also be able to enjoy a variety of online modes as well as two brand new characters: Evil Ryu and Violent Ken.

　　For the first time in nearly 20 years, since Super Street Fighter II, two new characters join the fight; Evil Ryu and Violent Ken. This version of Ryu has succumbed to the Satsui no Hado and is now obsessed with fighting in order to prove he is the strongest. His former honorable self has been purged, allowing him to enjoy absolute power and embrace an unquenchable bloodthirst for battle.

　　Violent Ken is the result of M. Bison kidnapping and brainwashing Ken, enhancing his abilities with Psycho Power and twisting his brotherly rivalry with Ryu into hatred. Violent Ken is more ruthless, aggressive, and fearless with moves that feature purple flames instead of his signature fire.
