Wednesday's Ultima Online "protest" proved one thing for sure: UO players are a caring, creative, and expressive bunch. Even in a virtual world, it takes some doing to assemble a rowdy crew of scantily clad men and women.
Since the game's release, GameSpot News has received an inordinate number of e-mails from both sides of the fence: from gamers who feel UO is an almost heroic attempt on the part of Richard Garriott and the Origin Systems team at creating an interactive, evolving, and involving environment, to gamers whose vitriol toward Origin is almost scary.
