UFC Undisputed 2010 stumbled upon its Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 launch in May despite a strong critical reception, but THQ isn't about to give up on its latest mixed martial arts effort. Today, the publisher pinned down a release date for the PSP edition of the game, saying it is on schedule for a September 7 debut in North America.

When it arrives, the PSP edition of the game will include many of the same features as its console counterparts. Undisputed 2010 on the PSP will include more than 100 UFC fighters, as well as the ability for players to create their own. Once a preferred pugilist is settled on, players can sign up for the career mode, title mode, title defense mode, or tournament mode. The game will also feature ad hoc wireless multiplayer action.

　　THQ's first UFC title, Undisputed 2009, was such a hit when it launched on the Xbox 360 and PS3 last year that the publisher wasted little time in announcing plans to expand the series to new platforms. Undisputed 2010 for the PSP will be the first of those plans to reach fruition. The publisher has also announced a motion-control-based fitness game spin-off, UFC Trainer, for release January 1, 2011, on the Wii, Xbox 360, and PS3.
