Ubisoft Australia today announced the launch of a local version of its online sales service shop, UbiShop.
The redesigned site--already operating in France, Germany, the UK, and the US--will allow Aussie gamers to purchase downloadable versions of the full catalogue of Ubisoft PC titles. The publisher has stated that it plans to expand this service in the future to include a boxed console and PC titles, as well as merchandise.

Chad Acers from Ubisoft Australia told GameSpot AU that while the local site is only two weeks behind its international counterparts, the publisher has used this time to localise offers and pricing.
"The shop has actually been available to consumers for quite a while, but we haven’t told anybody about it because we wanted to get the Aussie version up and running, complete with the final offer we have just announced," Acers said.
As part of the site's local launch, Ubisoft is offering Aussie customers a free "budget" game with any full-price purchase. These titles will include Assassin's Creed, Beyond Good & Evil, Far Cry, Heroes of Might and Magic V, Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Vegas 2, and Silent Hunter III.
The offer will be valid from today until June 14, 2010.
