Ubi Soft announces new GameCube game and release dates
Ubi Soft announces new GameCube game and release dates-November 2024
Nov 17, 2024 5:26 AM

Ubi Soft has announced that it will release six games for the GameCube within five months of the console's launch. Batman: Vengeance, Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six: Rogue Spear, Rayman Arena, Evolution Worlds, Disney's Tarzan Untamed, and Disney's Donald Duck Goin' Quackers will all be released before March 2002. Five of the six games are being developed internally at Ubi Soft, and the company plans to release 20 GameCube titles before the end of 2002.

"We strongly believe in the success of the GameCube. It is clearly a next-generation system which will reach millions of players thanks to its mass market price, quality titles, and Game Boy Advance link," said Yves Guillemot, president and CEO, Ubi Soft Entertainment. "Nintendo has 18 solid years in interactive entertainment, and they have created a pure gaming machine that promises innovative experiences for players."

No details were announced concerning Evolution Worlds, the lone game on the roster that has yet to be previously announced. But Ubi Soft published the Dreamcast RPGs Evolution and Evolution 2, so the game is naturally the next installment in the series. We were not able to reach Ubi Soft for further comment at the time of publish.
