TOKYO - Climax and ESP announced two more titles for Sega's Dreamcast - Climax Landers (Climax) and Evolution (ESP).
Evolution from ESP is a turn-based RPG. The game is being developed by Sting, the company behind Treasure Hunter G (Super Famicom) and Baroque (Saturn). The game is set in a mechanized civilization. Mag, the protagonist of the game, is an adventurer researching the ruins of a prehistoric civilization. These ruins are also auto-generated dungeons. Evolution for the Dreamcast is slated for the end of this year.
Climax Landers is another RPG from Climax, the company behind Land Stalker (Genesis) and Felony 11-79 (PlayStation). Unlike the Stalker series, Climax Landers is a turn-based RPG with auto-generated dungeons. Hmmm... But this one is set in a traditional RPG world that has the standard swords and sorcery themes. You can capture monsters and keep them in a Monster Farm. These monsters can be transferred to the DC's VMS, where you can train them. The back story of the game is not known at this time, but the game will have characters like Ryle from Land Stalker or Lady from Lady Stalker. Climax Landers for the Dreamcast is slated for the end of this year.
In other Dreamcast news, Sega announced that it will release Let's Make Pro Soccer Club and Let's make Pro Baseball Team. Both were quite popular sports franchise simulations on the Saturn. Currently both games are roughly slated for next year.
