The Twisted Metal TV show on Peacock is getting a second season. Series star Anthony Mackie announced the news during The Game Awards.
There isn't much more to go on in terms of the story or any new cast members for Season 2, but fans of the show might be encouraged to know they're getting more. Season 1 debuted in 2023 and became a quick success for Peacock, so it's not a big surprise to learn a sophomore season is in the works.
The show stars Mackie, Will Arnett, Thomas Haden Church, Stephanie Beatriz, and Joe Seanoa. It's written by Deadpool writers Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick, along with Michael Jonathan Smith.
"I have to give a Sweet Tooth-sized thank you to our incredible fans--I read every comment and was so blown away by everyone's love, support, and rabid enthusiasm for a paper bag," Smith in a statement (via Deadline). "We are beyond thankful we get to continue the story of John Doe, Quiet, and Sweet Tooth as they face off against familiar faces and new grim foes in the long-awaited Twisted Metal tournament. The mixtape is made, and I'm thrilled to get back on the road with our stellar cast and crew."
