Twin Galaxies, an organization dedicated to maintaining player rankings and gaming statistics, as well as hosting tournaments for electronic games, will publish a 20th anniversary edition of its Official Video Game & Pinball Book of World Records. The organization is looking for the best computer gamers for all titles, genres, and game platforms to find record-breaking scores and achievements to be included in the book.
The 1,200-page book will honor hundreds of players with photographs and biographies. In addition, it will document more than 20 years of contest results and world-record scores, ranging from the 1982 Tron World Championships to current rankings for Quake III Arena, Half-Life, and Unreal Tournament. Record holders in games for console platforms such as the Nintendo 64, PlayStation, PlayStation 2, and Dreamcast will also be included. To nominate a player for inclusion in the book, visit the official Twin Galaxies Web site.
