As you may have heard, Turok 2: Seeds of Evil is going to be one hot item this holiday season and with good reason. The game is vastly improved over the original, offering not only much better graphics, but tighter gameplay. Using a system called Real-time Flinch Generation, enemies respond accordingly depending on where they've been shot (kind of like they do in Virtua Cop 2, but in a full 3D environment).
Spread out over six new levels, complete with familiar warp zones, Turok 2 extends your quest to find the Primagen by incorporating talisman areas that can only be accessed by finding keys hidden in previously explored levels. There are five talismans in all: The Leap of Faith, Breath of Life, Firewalker, Whispers, and the Eye of Truth.
Since everything else has been amplified, the number of enemies you'll encounter has been equally enhanced. First, there is group of Raptoids and Endtrails called the Dinosoids, plus a subspecies called the Throwbacks that are represented by the Raptors, Dimorphodons, and Compys.
Luckily, there's far more to the game than just blowing away some gimpy dinosaurs. In fact, as you encounter more devious enemies like the Purr-Linn, you'll find that the enemy AI is so good in Turok 2, it just may turn into a case of the hunter becoming the hunted.
