Transformers: Devastation Is 60fps Across All Consoles, 1080p on PS4/Xbox One-October 2024
Oct 26, 2024 2:28 PM

The resolution and frame rate for Bayonetta and Scalebound developer Platinum Games' upcoming cel-shaded hack-and-slash console and PC game, Transformers: Devastation, have been confirmed.

All versions of the game are shooting to run at 60fps, but producer Robert Conkey told Dualshockers that the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 editions may dip to something below that during intensive scenes. Meanwhile, he said the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 versions should be "stable" throughout.

In terms of resolution, the Xbox One and PS4 editions will output at 1080p, while the last-generation versions will run at 720p. PC players can look forward to whatever their rig can support.

Devastation, which was officially announced at E3, is directed by Kenji Saito, who also directed Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance. Dualshockers also reports that it was Activision that pitched the idea for Devastation to Platinum Games, not the other way around.

We played Devastation at E3 this summer and enjoyed what was on offer. "Platinum is giving Transformers the care and attention it deserves, and helps put The Legend of Korra behind us," editor Tamoor Hussain wrote.

In addition to Devastation and Scalebound, Platinum Games is working on Wii U games Star Fox Zero and Project Guard with Nintendo, as well as a new Nier project with Square Enix.
