Konami of America announced on Friday that Track & Field 2000 for the PlayStation and Game Boy Color consoles has shipped to stores. The game combines more than 12 track & field events and is endorsed by Maurice Greene, three-time gold medalist at the 1999 World Championships.
"Maurice Greene's personality is a perfect fit for our product," said Craig Howe, Konami's brand-marketing manager. "He's energetic, he's intense, and being the fastest man on earth makes him the perfect match for the button-pounding intensity that has made the Track & Field franchise famous."
Konami will support the launch of Track & Field 2000 with print advertising in a variety of game magazines.
