Cavedog Entertainment is scrambling to come up with just the right superlatives to accompany the grins that are likely plastered on the faces of the Seattle-based development house staffers.
The company on Thursday stated it had shipped 250,000 copies of its 3D real-time strategy title Total Annihilation to retailers since September 27. By November 1, the title will be available in 18 countries, from Brazil to South Africa.
Cavedog is also prepping three localized versions of the game - Spanish, Japanese, and Italian language versions - that will appear in the near future.
The first of weekly downloadable reinforcements is due from Cavedog November 14. The schedule for that and subsequent online downloads (available from Cavedog's site) is as follows:
Nov. 14: "Flakker" Antiaircraft Flak Gun
Nov. 21: "Toaster" Pop-Up Heavy Cannon
Nov. 28: "Defender NS" Naval Series Missile Tower
Dec. 5: "Spoiler" Mine-Laying Vehicle
