Wimbledon may be over, but it seems to still be raining in the UK. So it's perhaps good news that Take-Two has announced it will be bringing Top Spin 3 out next Spring, so tennis fans can enjoy a couple of sets without having to venture outside.
The latest Tennis title, developed by 2K's PAM Development studio based in Paris, will feature an "array" of original athletes, although none have been named yet. The previous game, Top Spin 2, boasted the virtual likeness of stars like Venus Williams, Maria Sharapova, and Andy Roddick.
Players will also be able to design their own players using a new player creator, which allows "freeform body sculpting," along with the ability to add details like make-up and tattoos. Top Spin 3 will have both an offline and a "comprehensive" online mode, and will include details such as weather changes.
2K's president, Christoph Hartmann, believes that PAM Development has created a game with unrivaled realism. He commented, "Every detail is accurate, from the cloud cover to lighting, from sweat to dirt on clothing, to every drop shot, slice, lob, and backhand."
