The long-in-development Uncharted movie has apparently begun filming, if a recent post from one of the main cast is to be believed.
Over on Instagram, Spider-Man: Far From Home actor Tom Holland (Avengers: Endgame, Dolittle) posted an image of what looks to be a black piece of cloth with the word "Nate" emblazoned in red. Holland captioned the post with "Day One #uncharted," seemingly confirming that the movie is finally being filmed.
This news comes after Holland took a COVID-19 test last week in preparation for work on a mysterious project. It's unclear if that project is the Uncharted movie Holland's long been attached to.
The Uncharted movie has been in development for over a decade, shuffling between several directors and screenwriters before eyeing filmmaker Ruben Fleischer (Zombieland, Venom) to direct. Other big industry names--Antonio Banderas, Sophia Ali, Tati Gabrielle--have seemingly joined the Uncharted cast as well. The movie was also delayed due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, jumping back from its March 5, 2021 date to a new October 8, 2021 release.
