The One Piece manga by Eiichiro Oda has been releasing weekly for more than 20 years. In the upcoming weeks, it will reach Chapter 1000, and to celebrate, Shonen Jump is offering up selections of the manga for free.
From October 28-November 4, the first eight chapters of One Piece are free to read on Shonen Jump at Viz Media. Next week, a brand-new set of chapters will be available to read for free, as the first eight go back into the "Shonen Vault."
One Piece follows Monkey D. Luffy, a rubbery-boy who wants to be the greatest pirate of all time and goes on a quest to find the One Piece treasure to become King of the Pirates. Together with his crew, the Straw Hat Pirates, they sail the seas in this comedic action adventure story.
While the One Piece manga is hitting 1000 chapters very soon, you can also catch up on the anime. Numerous streaming services have the show available to watch. Both Crunchyroll and Funimation have free, ad-supported viewing and are up-to-date with their episodes. There is also a premium, ad-free experience as well.
